Attendance
1. Laboratory classes are scheduled every week.
2. Student attendance during classes is mandatory. It also applies to ITS students.
3. There will be no possibility to make up for absences.
4. Each student can have up to one unexcused absence in semester. Each subsequent
unexcused absence reduce the final score by means of 0.5 degree.
5. According th the rules of AGH-UST unexcused absence of 20% or more courses eliminate
any resit (you can not retake test or exam after failing it the first time).
Marks
1. During the semester three test will be scheduled. Each test consists of two parts: written
test (10-15 minutes) and oral test.
2. Final mark is calculated and announced by laboratory examiner on the basis of the
total gained points. Points from tests are distributed according to the following table.

3. Points are converted into marks according to AGH Regulations of Study.
91 – 100% very good (5.0), (abbreviation: bdb)
81 – 90% above average (4.5), (abbreviation: +db)
71 – 80% average (4.0), (abbreviation: db)
61 – 70% above satisfactory (3.5), (abbreviation: +dst)
51 – 60% satisfactory (3.0), (abbreviation: dst)
below 50% unsatisfactory (2.0), (abbreviation: nd)
tests
1. Tests are mandatory and are scheduled one week before.
2. Tasks can be different for each student.

Examination, retake tests
1. Course examination will cover lectures knowledge. Final mark is granted by laboratory
examiner on the basis of laboratory mark.
2. In case of unsatisfactory mark (below 50%) in first attempt (that is till the end of classes in
given semester), student have two more attempts to pass, according to AGH Regulations of
Study. Rules of these additional attempts can be different from first attempt. The positive
mark for this will not be higher than satisfactory (3.0).
3. Evaluation deadlines:
final evaluation – 17.01.2012, 23.01.2012
1st retake of final test – 24.01.2012 or 30.01.2012
2nd and last retake of final test – scheduled during session
4. Marks and any additional information are published on eit.agh.edu.pl web page.
5. Students transferring assessment form other courses are invited to submit relevant
documents and information to the laboratory examiner at the beginning of the semester.

1. In other cases, one should refer to AGH Regulations of Study.
2. Any e-mails sent to teachers should be signed and sent from the AGH e-mail account
(agh.edu.pl domain). E-mails that do not meet these conditions will be ignored.
